About School for Good
We aim to teach the next generation that age is not a barrier to helping others. We want to provide children with skills that allow them to express their creativity and to provide a platform to help others. We also want to draw attention to groups of people in our local communities that are often taken for granted and how we can show some care to them regardless of age.

Why comic creation for the workshop?
We believe in the power of comics, as a platform to not just tell a story, but also teach new insights and even bring about awareness on certain issues. Children are naturally curious and imaginative. If you have ever wanted to take a peek behind the curtain, let them express their thoughts through creating comics led by the team from Acorn Training.
It is our goal to provide kids with the opportunity to unleash their creative energies and let their wild imaginations soar. Our workshop will guide them to draw and craft a story together.

Comics for a cause...what cause is this workshop supporting?
For this workshop, we are working with project eyecare schoolbag and Beyond Social Services to organise an eye screening to screen for myopia in children from 11 York Hill, S338719 on *22 June. Through this eye screening, we hope to be able to help spread awareness of myopia prevention in children and to provide eye checks for these children who do not have easy access to eye care.
Our young comic artists will also be given the opportunity to participate in this eye screening and interact with the children from that community through some activities. They will also get to learn and teach others about good eye care habits too.
*Tentative Date: 22 June 2022
